Photography tips :)

12.2.15
Hello Guys,
I have been so busy so forgot to blog for a few months but I am back . Today I wanted to talk about how I would take my photos and my process of how I would take them. When I am out with my camera I like to look at possible objects or views I would like to take. I take lots of different styles photos of the same thing, either from different heights, angles or camera settings.

I like to experiment with photos before I view them all to find a good photo I have taken. I think it's important as a photographer to experiment with objects/ views you are taking and it is also very ok to know exactly what you are taking a photo of and having it perfectly modelled for you.

I use photography as an art form but I also enjoy it as a way of seeing things in a completely different way. It isn't all about having a fancy camera and lenses it's about taking your time and capture the moment you are in. I try not to edit my photos or add filters to them but sometimes if I upload them to Instagram I would add a neutral filter just to add abit more depth to it if I feel the  photo needs it. my favourite Instagram filters are "crema", "willow" if I would like to change my photo to black and white and "Ludwig" for an extra shot of colour and a clearer finsh.

Hope you guys found this useful,
Laters guys,
Sophie. :)

2.11.14.        I have a thing for trees...

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to share with you one of my favourite object/thing to take photos of and that is trees. I don't know how I started to love tree/nature photography but they are my favourite things to capture. I love experimenting with different heights, angles and settings and shutters  on my camera as it allows me to see a still object in different ways.

I love capturing trees in different times of the day as I love the black outline they give in a sunset as it looks bold and focuses on both the background and the beauty of the simple black outlined tree and leaves.
Hope you enjoy some of my favourite tree shots.
Laters,
Sophie :)

Animal Photography

22.08.2014 Animal Photography

This is a collection of some of my various animal photography I've taken over the years. I really enjoy animal photography as I love capturing the animal's movement and different posture and also getting a glimpse of personality through the shots.

I also enjoy capturing taking action shots of animals as there actions are unpredictable and you can sometimes get a great shot that is totally unexpected.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Favourite Photography Locations: Part 2

20.08.2014 Favourite Photography Locations: Part 2

The Giant's Causeway, North Coast.

The Giant's Causeway in Ireland is such a beautiful place, physically with the nature structures but also shows the beauty of the north coast of Northern Ireland.

I loved taking photos here a couple of weeks ago as I could capture the unique rock formations from different angles and heights and that was a new experience for me as I had never done that type of photography in such a unique setting before.

This location combines my love for nature photography as well as landscape views and views from the cliffs around the Causeway. I would reommend going to the Causeway for a day trip and also for photography purposes as it is a very unique setting.

Favourite photography locations part 1

14.08.2014. Favourite photography locations. Part 1

Tollymore Forestpark, Newcastle:
Every year my family and I go to Tollymore, it's a perfect place to explore nature and spend time with the family but also it's great for some nature shots.

I love taking my camera with me and snapping away and being creative it's a gold mine of possibilities. In Tollymore there are lots of different settings to take photos in and I love the variety of it from the dark hilly forests to the lakes and stepping stones.

Being in nature allows you to look at things in a completely different way and allows you to
see the beauty in the most unexpected things. Tollymore was a great place to go when I started photography as it is an easy place to get great shots and a great setting for exploring different ways to photograph things and to learn to use different settings in my camera.
